Owning ferrets can be a really enjoyable experience. When I was younger we owned three ferrets named Barney, Bleep and Booster and I remember spending hours upon hours playing with them.
They seemed so adorable and loved snuggling up on me. Give them the right type of food.
So it came as a bit of a surprise to learn that ferrets are actually illegal in some parts of the USA.
With that in mind I decided to do some heavy research to find out which of the US states ferrets are illegal in. Once I found out this data I though it would be a good idea to publish it in an easy to read table for you lot, to make life easier!

So are ferrets illegal in the USA? Currently there are only 2 of the 50 US states where ferrets are illegal. However it is always worth checking at local level if there are any County or City laws governing the keeping of ferrets as pets.
